There’s no getting around it. I’m a strong advocate of environmental protection and innovative ideas for a healthier planet, people and economy. For over 25 years, I’ve been seeking out sustainable solutions for my family, home and community. Serving as Director of the Hanley Foundation, Co-Chair of the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) Midwest Council, Board Member of the Academy for Global Citizenship (a green Chicago Public Charter School), Co-Founder of North Shore Green Women, Steering Committee Member of Chicago Women In Green, member of Fresh Taste, and member of the Sustainable Local Food Investment Group, I’m always learning about the latest green happenings.
Why not pass along all the useful, smart, fun, inspiring information I come across to make a bigger impact?
Consider wren a Winnetka Residents Eco Notes. Where anything green goes, the wren blog (and periodic newsletter recap) is dedicated to exploring environmental issues and sustainable living in the North Shore. Ill share my experiences, along with insight from leading experts and local folks. Plenty of local resources, leaders and destinations will also be featured.
A few years back, my family took notice of a tiny wren with a mighty chirp nesting outside our window. We discovered our cheery backyard songbird has long symbolized communication, creativity and progress. In the same spirit, wren is dedicated to sharing ideas that move forward sustainability.
Hopefully wren will inspire you!
